MEE is excited to start work with The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation in May on an important new health project in 2026 to collaboratively create innovative communications and marketing strategies to effectively engage and support communities of color across the country.
The Foundation is the leading non-profit organization focused on both research and patient support for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). MEE’s upcoming work will support the Foundation’s missions of curing Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and improving the quality of life for the millions of Americans living with IBD.
The Strategic Marketing Plan MEE will create for the Foundation will be focused on driving enrollment, engagement and retention of Black and Hispanic patients in an online, direct-to-patient (D2P) research registry that gives them access to advances in treatment, opportunities to participate in cutting-edge research and connects them to others living with IBD. The registry will also offer access to expert information, news and educational resources.
Bringing a trauma-informed lens to every project has allowed MEE to gain deep insights into the daily lives and challenges that must be considered when attempting to get Black and Hispanic communities to engage with health systems, treatments and technologies.

It's a great time to share innovative ideas for addressing the SUD and opioid-related disparities that are leaving too many PA communities out of the latest treatments and recovery-support services.
Ivan Juzang presents at an 11:30 breakout session. Stop by and hear a successful case story from MEE’s Connect Protect Recover campaign in Allegheny County. Or say hello during the Networking Lunch. Hope to see you there!
