Happy Juneteenth! On June 19th, 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Texas to announce the abolition of slavery in the state and the complete emancipation of slaves throughout the Confederacy. While Juneteenth is not an official national holiday, it is recognized by 45 states! Today is OUR Independence Day! 💙💛
