Today on World Humanitarian Day, I’m filled with gratitude and hope. Over the decades we've delivered aid to Afghan and Ukrainian refugees, brought essential supplies to NHS workers through and championed education for children via Children in Crisis educating over 1.4 million children and building 57 schools.

As I stand alongside inspiring young activists through and the , I’m reminded of one simple truth: that small acts of kindness can spark extraordinary change.

My wish for the future? That we all become bridges between generations, communities and dreams. So together, let’s continue to offer compassion, lift up young voices, and nurture a more hopeful, and inclusive world for all.

Her Heart for a Compass was always meant to be a bridge between hearts, stories, and generations. Being able to sign copies and speak with these incredible creators brought me right back to why I wrote it in the first place. Thank you for the opportunity.

Mental health touches us all - it has no boundaries. We need to promote open conversations about mental health and how we can improve access to mental healthcare across society. I recently spent time at Paracelsus Recovery in Zurich, a clinic known for its discreet, bespoke care for those facing complex mental health and addiction challenges, to learn more. What I found was not only a centre of clinical excellence, but a place of deep humanity. Conversations with Dr Thilo Beck and Jan Ge**er, the clinic’s founder, were illuminating. Jan’s mission is one I deeply respect and share: to bring mental health out of the shadows and into open, compassionate conversation. Dr Beck has decades of experience and a role advising governments on health policy, and is determined to make his expertise available to all, doing extraordinary work with homeless people suffering from mental health and addiction problems. If you or someone you know is struggling, I encourage you to seek help. You are not alone, and there is no shame in taking the steps towards healing. I’ve written about these experiences today for The Telegraph.

A truly heartwarming visit to Áncash with , meeting the most wonderful children and families at one of their projects. It’s so uplifting to see the incredible work being done to bring hope, education and opportunity to these remarkable communities. Swipe to the last two slides to see me with a very bright young student, Yanila, who drew a little picture with me, which I’m very proud to say is now hanging on their classroom wall!
