Saturated Selfie.

Cranked up the saturation on a nighttime selfie and took it from there, continuing with the digital distortion theme. Lots of texture by way of the gesso layer, swipe for raking light pic. Oil on 11” x 14” canvas panel, December 2021.

This painting is done after a frame from a GAN neural network that had been trained on the WikiArt image corpus. It’s also an early attempt to work by way of glazing on top of a black and white grisaille painting.
