It's Giving Tuesday. We’d like to tell you how we are transforming lives. Once upon a time, an 8-year-old Silky Terrier/Pomeranian was immediately timestamped at a shelter. He circled when he walked and was feared to have neurological problems, so the shelter feared there was nothing to be done for him. That is how Floyd’s story began, but it is not how we allowed it to end.
One of our fosters raced to the shelter to rescue Floyd and had made plans to get him to our vet first thing in the morning. Imagine our surprise when we found…..a HEALTHY dog. Sometimes fear can cause a dog to completely shut down, and we think that may have been the case for Floyd. Upon arriving at his foster home, he happily scampered all over the yard, and enjoyed the attention from his foster siblings. Floyd had a quick neuter and dental and was on his way to the next chapter of his life.
Floyd was adopted by a retiree who spends endless hours cuddling with him and making sure he wants for nothing. Second chances are so important in life, and we know how much Floyd is loving his.This Giving Tuesday help us give more dogs like Floyd a happily ever after.
