Connie was in Marty Stuart’s hometown of Philadelphia, MS last weekend for the unveiling of four new murals honoring country music legends in the ever-growing “Flowers on the Walls” project. The evening was capped off with Marty’s sold-out show at the Ellis Theater. Connie made a guest appearance and sang, “Beneath Still Waters.“

It is so sad to hear of Don Schlitz’s passing yesterday. Such a powerhouse songwriter (“The Gambler,” “When You Say Nothing at All,” “Forever and Ever, Amen,” etc.), beloved member of the Grand Ole Opry, and a kind and wonderfully generous man. He will be dearly missed.

Here’s a picture from last December with Don (and Gina Keltner, Assoc Producer, Talent, at the Grand Ole Opry). Don had just finished donating his time and talent at a fundraiser for a Nashville nonprofit that serves children and adolescents. So thankful for your life and prayers for your loved ones. Rest in Peace, Don.
