From old-fashioned ice cream sodas and sundaes to handcrafted chocolates and confections dating back to the 1800s, these Old City institutions are beloved by locals and visitors alike and represent some of the sweetest traditions in our city. We’re honored to help tell the story of these legendary brands and support their next chapter.

Here’s some behind the scenes from the debut of the new Cacao Pod private event space at 104 Market Street on Fox 29 and Good Day Philadelphia. Check it out for your next private event, party and special occasion for up to 2 dozen guests.

🍫 About The Cacao Pod:

This brand new event space was designed for “roasting and toasting.”

By day, Head Chocolate Maker Kevin Paschall can be found in the ‘Pod’ roasting cacao beans to turn into Shane Chocolate.

The rest of the time the space will be rentable for private parties. Think: Ice Cream Party, Birthday, Office Celebration, Anniversary, Bridal Shower, Influencer Shoot, you name it!

The Cacao Pod is located in one of the oldest buildings on Market Street, estimated to date back to the late 18th C. The interior is clad in 19th century wooden paneling and decorative trims. The ceiling is a bespoke drop ceiling made from illuminated swirled white and amber slag glass and punctuated with soft white pendant lamps. All of the details were rescued from long gone candy shops, and the former Bomberger’s pharmacy in Germantown.

Happy Grand Opening and Lunar New Year! Aversa PR was proud to help Northern Liberties cut the big red ribbon and celebrate the Year of the Horse at MANA Modern Chinese.
