Congratulations to University College Cork on earning a Platinum rating in AASHE's Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS), becoming the first institution in Ireland—and all of Europe—to achieve the program's highest distinction.
STARS is a transparent, self-reporting framework developed by AASHE that helps colleges and universities measure and communicate sustainability performance across academics, engagement, operations, planning, and administration. A Platinum rating recognizes comprehensive, institution-wide leadership and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
This milestone reflects years of collaboration across the University College Cork community and demonstrates how higher education institutions can embed sustainability throughout teaching, research, campus operations, governance, and community engagement.
We're proud to celebrate University College Cork's leadership and look forward to seeing its continued impact inspire institutions across Ireland and around the world! 🌱
