If you asked me most of the time these past 9 months, I would say I didn’t like the way I looked pregnant, and I also didn’t want pictures of it. Pregnancy for me has been a true adjustment, something that often made me feel self-conscious and sometimes kind of scared. I never related to any woman who ever said it is a blissful experience. For me, it has been uncomfortable, inconvenient, emotional, and confusing…and I also didn’t love that I had to slow down with a lot of things, especially with aerials and fitness.

…And, in addition to having body image issues, hearing some of the unfortunate remarks you get occasionally from people… ā€œwow, you are getting huge!ā€ (What woman in the world wants to hear that…pregnant or not?!) and ā€œI don’t know why you’d want to do this, I’m never having kids!ā€ (Good for you, and thanks for the support šŸ™„). By the way, I said similar things at some point in my life too, and for that I am deeply sorry and have learned a lot since. Pregnancy can sometimes feel like a pretty lonely experience, even though you are technically never alone while it’s happening.

So, coming from a woman who had a bit of a tough time adjusting to a pregnant body…I have to say, did a truly incredible job capturing it in a pretty special way, and he made me feel comfortable actually showing off my third trimester body for the first time ever, in my entire pregnancy. This was me and my baby boy, end of November, at 32 weeks. If you are looking to have maternity photos done, (or any kind of photos, Adam does everything!), get in touch with Redlite Photos. Thank you so much, Adam…it was a real gift being able to shoot with you! šŸ–¤šŸ’š

It’s been fun discovering different pathways in and out of a catcher’s wrap lately. Thank you for teaching this sequence šŸ’«
