Limmud: Love What You Learn – Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia Your donation to the Jewish Federation has a big impact, rippling through our community and around the world, providing resources to meet urgent needs today and build a bright future.

Music has always been a gateway to experiences of G-d/the Divine/spirituality/connection in Judaism. We have also always wrestled with the place of popular music in worship, whether we are borrowing popular melodies for drinking songs in the Medieval Period or singing a Beatles tune in services today. We will explore experiences of spirituality in secular rock settings and seek to better understand why and how rock music connects us to God.
