North Central! Rental assistance alert!
Are you or someone you know struggling to pay rent because you’ve lost income due to COVID-19? The City’s PHL Rent Assist program may be able to help.
Phase 4 is now open for applications and even applicants who received funds in Phases 1-3 may apply. Philly renters can apply for rental assistance and help with utilities (up to $2,000 for PGW, $2,000 for PWD, and $2,000 for PECO).

"The Philadelphia Historic Commission denied plans for a new police station in North Philadelphia on Friday, as activists in the city and across the country call for cuts to police funding while decrying police brutality following the killing of George Floyd.
In written and oral comments before and during the commission’s meeting Friday, about 130 people voiced their opposition to the proposed $20 million new home of the 22nd police district in the primarily black community."
