Lighting is key in painting, as it is with photography. This is an example of how the same exact painting looks quite different depending on the lighting around. The first photo one was taken in indirect bright light and the second photo was taken in a shadowy area. I also love this painting because of how peaceful and serene it makes me feel when I look at it.

This is the only single painting I have completed in this entire year so far. And mind you, this is a very small painting. This is what experiencing creative block or not being in a creative space/mind frame looks like. I am glad to announce (for the sake of my own accountability) that I am in the process of overcoming it and have already started working on two new paintings! Excited to see where it takes me.
