Thanks to a generous gift from the Hypothesis Fund, Wistar’s Dr. Vincent Wu can advance research into how HIV hides in the body and interacts with human cells using a new approach called scREVEALseq (single-cell reservoir evaluation via viral epigenetics and amplified loci).

This work could help reveal how HIV remains dormant—and bring researchers closer to strategies that could one day eliminate the virus for a cure.
