Aerial view of the Langhorne Speedway under construction. Opened in 1926, it was the first one-mile dirt track built specifically for automobile racing. In this southwest-to-northeast view, grandstand seating is visible, as are Route 1 and Woodbourne Road. Probably taken in June 1926. The final race was held at the speedway in 1971. - Image credit: The Library Company of Philadelphia.
