As if working with wasnโ€™t enough of a delight already, I arrived home today to this scrumptious box of goodies on my porch. My expectations were sky high after staring at photos of their creations for months ๐Ÿคค while designing the website, but boy were they exceeded. ๐Ÿ˜ The cupcake box was obviously full when it arrived but me and the kids tore through 2 of them before I thought โ€œhey I should probably capture this for social media before itโ€™s too late.โ€

Thanks Zoe and Brennen! You guys are just wonderful ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Aww heck yeah. This ๐Ÿ”ฅ mask arrived the mail yesterday from my dear friends/clients over at and Iโ€™m pumped. They launched these on their e-commerce store last week and the huge response briefly blew up the site due to some unfortunately timed server glitches. We got it back up eventually and they were awesomely patient the whole way through. Then sent me this lovely mask and card, which made my day. Now staying safe in style ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜ท

Our environments play a major role in triggering our habits, both good and bad. My home office used to be an afterthought, but now that I'm using it every day, I'm slowly creating the space I need to be as focused and creative as possible.

I try to do the vast majority of my work in my home office. Why? Because if Iโ€™d spend half the day working from the couch and the other half working from my bed, I have nowhere to retreat to once I'm done working.

I also try to take a few moments to pick up clutter on and around my desk. Our mammal brains are highly attuned to scanning your visual field for new input. The more sensory input and distractions in front of us, the more brain resources we use watching for threats and opportunities. Cutting back in clutter lets my brain rest and devote mental resources to the important tasks.

Lastly, I've worked to make it an aesthetically nice space, one that I associate with good vibes. I've added plants and a wall mural since the lockdown, and got rid of a few pieces of furniture to make it feel more open and airy. If weโ€™re gonna be stuck, might as well make it a decent place to be stuck.
