Jess and I recently noticed someone go above and beyond to be encouraging. It sparked a discussion in our newest podcast episode about the subject of encouragement and we analyzed why there seems to be so much discouragement surrounding us. I interviewed a Boston psychotherapist with over 2 decades of experience and we hear from two of our dear friends (some of the most encouraging people we know) to dig deeper on this 56th Episode. This blew me away. 10 listeners started their own individual sock drives and raised over 16,000 pairs of socks for Boston Rescue Mission!! They were competing for Jonas Brothers tickets but every one of them was hyper-focused on helping Boston’s homeless community. In addition to these contestants, many other listeners have been reaching out saying they’ve been inspired to start collecting socks too. It’s this feeling of togetherness that made me fall in love with the radio in the first place. Thank you to all of our incredible listeners who have donated socks and to those who plan to do so.
