Long before this restaurant existed in some shot out galaxy far away there was a surge of Pop-Up Restaurants and assorted businesses. The Pandemic Restaurants: these were based solely out of coffee shops, sidewalks, art galleries, row homes, Air B&B’s, empty restaurants, abandoned restaurants ie: literally anywhere you could set up a sketchy hotline-and sell some pretty amazing stuff. This is where I met Chance Anies.
Saturday Tabachoy Filipino platters the most absurd flavors at Hermans Coffee in Pennsport which eventually led to a friendship that has bobbed and weaved throughout the years and led us to THIS moment. A ‘Filitalian?’ collaborative Luncheonette, on Sunday October 5 from 11a.m. - 5:00p.m. Merging Elma’s experimental Cheesesteak Shop “Palace” to join forces with THE South Philly premier restaurant that we all know and love, Tabachoy. Menu is dope. The elusive Bistek Chistek will be available along with our Modern Classic, a hybrid version of Palabok, Sisig Square Pie by the slice, Dynamite Lumpia and of course an Ube Gelati if you can make it to dessert. Dine in or bounce, Human Robot will be on-site along with Power Fade and Jake the Legend selling Vintage Philly Sports Gear, also the game WILL be on 1:00 Kickoff.
