After being directly targeted by a Zio this weekend resulting in not vending on a market I was counting on, having to deal with the toll that řácism has on the body and mind, and having to do so much handholding and labor, I’m here to share this typographic piece I created.

Activist, Laura LeMoon, wrote, “An ally should be personally gaining nothing through their activism. In fact, if you are an ally, you should be losing things through your activism: space, voice, recognition, validation, identity and ego.”

And let me remind folks that allies DO NOT self-appoint. WE appoint YOU. WE determine whether or not you’re an ally. And I say this with the ultimate compassion. As someone who firmly believes that people can change and grow. As someone who’s here to continue to build trust 🙏🏼
