Clothing and Textiles provides Army Green Service Uniforms to ‘fallen warriors’ 06/18/2026

From their very first day in boot camp to their final journey home, every U.S. Army Soldier’s uniform tells a story of service, sacrifice and ultimate devotion. 🇺🇸

When the Joint Personal Effects Depot at Dover Air Force Base faced critical shortages of the Army Green Service Uniform for our fallen heroes, the team at DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles supply chain refused to let logistical hurdles stand in the way of dignity.

Through rapid teamwork, urgent "cold calls" and expedited logistics, they bypassed traditional barriers to ensure our fallen warriors are laid to rest with the utmost honor, in the uniform of their family's choice.

What does a procurement spreadsheet in Philadelphia have to do with a soldier in the field? Everything.

Nearly 100 of our newest employees from around the world recently stepped away from their computers and onto the training grounds at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst for the DLA Troop Support Academy.

This hands-on visit was coordinated with the New Jersey Air National Guard's 108th Wing. ✈️ Our team got an up-close look at the wing’s KC-46 Pegasus refuelers and learned about their critical missions, from providing aerial refueling to U.S. and allied aircraft to performing life-saving aeromedical evacuations.

The three-day immersive event bridged the gap between administrative tasks and the front lines, giving participants a firsthand look at how the food, clothing, medical supplies and construction & equipment supplies they procure daily are actively used by our service members.

Ahead of the official on Sunday, our DLA Troop Support Flag Room artisans are stepping out of the workshop to kick off the celebrations at the iconic Betsy Ross House in ! 🧵✨

Historically, military flags, or "colors," were vital rallying points in the chaos of battle. Today, they represent a unit’s living history, battle honors and very soul.

Just like Betsy Ross, our team takes immense pride in their craft. They hand-embroider Presidential and military unit flags with painstaking precision. Every stitch honors the legacy of our armed forces and directly supports the warfighters defending our nation today. 🫡

From the birthplace of the American flag to the hands of our modern warfighters, we are proud to carry on this historic legacy of world-class craftsmanship! Check out the photos below to see our team at today's event at the Flagmakers' Hall! 📸👇
