I had the honor of attending and leading a workshop at Home Grown’s 2024 National Gathering under the inspiring theme Leading Together! My session focused on Formalizing Leadership Networks to support family childcare providers in establishing their own 501(c)(3) organizations. This critical step empowers them to secure funding and advocate for meaningful change in their .


The heart of our session was the dynamic panel discussion featuring Decarla Lenise Burton Burton, Adrienne Briggs, Diane Gardner, and Sheryl Hutzenbiler. These incredible leaders shared their powerful journeys of creating and growing local networks while embodying the spirit of the late John Lewis “Good Trouble.”
