SZA has revealed that she was recently diagnosed with autism spectruin disorder. The singer reportedly shared the news on her private Instagram account, writing, "Finally took the time [and] got formally diagnosed."

She shared medical paperwork stating her behaviors and history are "quite consistent with Autism Spectrum Disorder." She added "Aspergers/high functioning autism/smarter than u so stop playing in my face cause pattern recognition told me and I WILL get to the bottom of it thanks."

According to the singer, that may explain why she has taken Al issues "so personally." Before her diagnosis, SZA strongly criticized Al-generated music, urging artists, "DO NOT GIVE AWAY YOUR VIBRANIUM!!!" She also blasted musicians who support Al, calling the practice "DISGUSTING."
