shower pan refresh in rittenhouse today. Original pan was sound and watertight, had just seen better days. We primed with p4 primary, and set with rapid setting thinset. Grouted with ardex fl and siliconed the change of plane with ardex sx. Brand new shower pan in less than a day 😎

Complete shower “do-over”. Previous contractor used zero waterproofing and installed their showerpan incorrectly. Never made it past the first use. We waterproofed this one with the complete schluter system. Happy friday 🤘

Recessing a subfloor: the how and why-
For this install we’re preparing for a zero entry (curbless) shower. In order to achieve this we need our subfloor lower then normal. We removed the original and and sistered the joists 3/4 lower then the top of the joists. This allows us to cut new 3/4 ply to fit in between the joists which ultimately lowers our subfloor by 3/4 of an inch allowing us to install a zero entry shower- stay tuned
