🚨 Man Accused of Burning American Flags and Veterans’ Grave Markers to Stand Trial

A homeless man accused of setting fire to American flags and veterans’ grave markers at a Levittown cemetery has waived his preliminary hearing and will proceed toward trial in Bucks County.

According to investigators, Troy Moore is accused of setting fire to flags and veterans’ grave markers at the cemetery of New Emilie United Baptist Church on June 2.

Police say officers found a small fire burning beneath a tree that included American flags and veterans’ grave markers. Firefighters extinguished the blaze.

Investigators later found Moore elsewhere in the cemetery carrying additional flags and grave markers. Police say he initially refused commands to drop the items before complying.

According to officers, Moore appeared heavily intoxicated and allegedly stated he was “just having fun.”

One charge of flag mutilation was withdrawn, but he still faces charges including:
• Institutional vandalism to a place of worship
• Criminal mischief
• Disorderly conduct
• Public drunkenness

Moore remains in the Bucks County Correctional Facility on $10,000 bail as the case moves toward trial.

🚨 15-Year-Old Arrested in Darby Borough Shooting Investigation

Darby Borough Police have arrested 15-year-old Dallante Peterson in connection with the July 13 shooting in the 100 block of North 5th Street.

According to police, officers executed a search warrant at Peterson’s residence during the early morning hours with assistance from the Delaware County Region 1 Emergency Response Team. He was taken into custody without incident.

Peterson is charged with:
• Attempted murder
• Robbery
• Aggravated assault
• Possession of a firearm by a minor

Police praised investigators for identifying and apprehending the suspect just days after the shooting.
