Megruli or მეგრული is the most iconic of the round Khachapuri styles in Georgia. Said to originate from the Megrelian region, it is probably the most popular street slice to get when walking around cities like Tbilisi and Kutaisi. It is a dough ball stuffed with the classic suluguni and imeruli cheeses, rolled out into a pizza shape, topped with a butter wash and more of the cheese mix making for one of the best comfort foods in Georgia.
