I’m glad the School Board decided at their meeting yesterday to postpone the vote on school closures. But until we have a plan to save Robeson, and I aren’t going anywhere.
We have the money to fund our schools in this city. We need courage and action!

Last Friday I got to be a guest judge for the High School Welding Competition! Contestants had to weld a miniature submarine model and were judged by the accuracy and integrity of their welding joints.
As a former STEM professional, I was right in my element in the shop watching young people from the Philadelphia area demonstrate a passion for their craft. The prize winners will be heading to San Diego for nationals. Congrats all!

No child should end up homeless, quit extracurriculars or work multiple jobs while the county that should be taking care of them is secretly stealing their checks. But that’s happening every day.
I’ve worked on this issue for nearly two years with my colleague across the aisle Rep. Sheryl Delozier and we’re close to the finish line — with support from Democrats, Republicans and now the federal government.
We have a mighty coalition of foster youth and advocates who traveled across the state to advocate for HB 151 this week. Shoutout to who throw down hard with their youth.
