The South Philadelphia Taproom is more than just a bar. It’s a South Philly institution. Transformed from a forgotten corner property to a neighborhood staple, the Taproom played a pivotal role in sparking the revitalization of the Newbold neighborhood back in 2003.

As one of our first commercial projects, this place helped shape the vibrant community it is today. With 14 rotating taps, an impressive bottle selection, and a unique menu, the Taproom has become the go-to spot for locals and visitors alike.

Remember when an empty lot at Point Breeze Ave and Tasker Street turned into the spot to be? ☀️🍻

Many summers ago, 1622 Point Breeze Ave became a neighborhood backyard. Cold draught beer and cider flowing, Philly’s best food trucks lined up, friends catching up at picnic tables, kids running around, and someone always asking who was up next for bocce.

There was yoga in the morning, farmers’ markets on weekends, and that unbeatable golden-hour glow that made you want to stay just a little longer. It felt spontaneous and intentional all at once. Community in its purest form.

Huge shoutout to the crew behind South Philadelphia Tap Room and American Sardine Bar for dreaming it up, and to Fair Food for helping make it happen and supporting local growers along the way.
