And they change something BIG…

👉 We are now looking at **cholesterol risk MUCH earlier in life.**

Here are the biggest changes from the old 2018 guidelines:

👶 **Screen kids earlier**
Heart disease can start early. **Kids should be screened at age 9-11. **

🧑 **Screen adults starting at age 19**
We are no longer waiting until middle age to look for problems.

📉 **Lower LDL goals**
Doctors now want **“bad cholesterol” even lower** to protect the heart.

🧬 **New risk markers are being used more**
Tests like **Lp(a), ApoB, and coronary calcium scans** can help find hidden risk.

Heart disease prevention is starting **earlier than ever before.**
