Updated 10/24/21!!
Forever Family! May God bless and keep you during this time. I am happy to announce that we are still meeting in person and on Zoom.
As you know, the Covid-19 issue is still ongoing and we will be making every effort to accommodate everyone that wants to join us. So we will be hosting a hybrid type of services. We will be meeting in person at our normal church home, but we will be hosting our meetings via Zoom. If you have not been joining us on Zoom for the past Friday nights, please contact me and I will get you the meeting id numbers.
In order to follow our host church’s directives for in person meetings, we will be following some new rules until the virus threat lessens and things will relax more to the old ‘normal’. Hey we are a ministry of change and so rolling with the changes should not be a problem!
Some of the new changes are as follows:
We want to make you aware of a few guidelines we will need everyone to follow while attending our CR meetings here at Hill Country Bible Church Pflugerville.
1. We are not serving food for a meal during these times. As things relax and we can safely eat together again as a group, we will go back to our normal meeting night routine. We are evaluating this and hopefully we will be serving food soon.

2. Due to not sharing a meal, we will be changing the times that we will open our doors. We will open the doors for folk at 6:45 pm on Friday nights.

3. Everyone is recommended to wear a mask at all times unless you are seated. This is recommended but is up to each individual. We will respect your decision but ask that everyone maintain an appropriate social distance. The main idea is to keep everyone safe!

4. Due to the shortage of workers we will be suspending childcare for a few months until we gain the appropriate number of workers. We will constantly be reassessing the situation for any changes. We will post and let everyone know when we can provide childcare again.

We appreciate your cooperation during this time of COVID-19. There will be some changes in our program in order to accommodate Zoom viewers and to ensure that safety guidelines of our host church are followed.
We will have a camera set up to record the stage area only. To protect the anonymity of CR, only those who have agreed to their faces being published will be on stage.
We will start our general meeting night in the High-dive auditorium at 7:00 pm. We will have worship and we will be having biblical lessons. Unfortunately, we cannot broadcast the copywrited, normal CR lessons. We will be posting the worship and lesson to Zoom for those that do not feel ready to rejoin us in person.
After the general meeting is over, we will dismiss to our Open Share groups. The ladies will remain in the High-dive so that they can social distance and if needed can spread out into two groups, one on each side of the room. The men will adjourn to room 206, where we normally have the crosstalk café, so that they can maintain social distancing.
When we are done with our open share groups, we can return to the High-dive for a brief period of family time and visiting.
At 9:30 pm, we will start shutting down the rooms and the cleanup team will begin to wipe and spray down all areas that we may have touched or visited.
We ask for understanding and patience during this trying time, but we are taking the first steps to recovering our normal CR nights and I am totally excited about it. I miss my family so much and video is great but to actually see all of your faces and hear your voices fills me with hope and love!
Thanks again for your understanding and with working with us as we begin the journey to re-opening our home.
I pray that I see you this Friday and may God bless and keep you always.

Greetings Forever Family, 3-17-2020
It is with a heavy heart that we will be bowing to our church and state/county instructions to reduce any and all gatherings of 10 or more people and will not be meeting on Friday nights. Even though Celebrate Recovery will not be meeting in one place, please do not use this time to isolate. This is a time to quietly connect to all your sponsors and accountability partners. Use this time to get more into God’s word and to help lift up each other in phone calls, texts, etc. Here are some tips to help during this time of change and who knows change better than us:
1. Use YouTube or your cable to listen to uplifting gospel music and sing praises to our Lord.
2. Use this time to journal about your feelings and fears
3. Talk with fellow Christians and CR folks. Set up video chats and share what you are doing in your lives. (C.R. does not allow virtual Step Studies or meetings, but you can still get together as fellow friends to discuss how the changes are affecting your life and share tips on how you are overcoming them.
4. Check in with someone! Don’t isolate!
5. If you are really struggling with the changes, mentally or physically work through the steps of a step study to help you work through the issue and then share that with your sponsor.
Our God is an awesome God and he will give us ideas on how to beat the enemy’s attacks to isolate us. Do not let the enemy win!
I need everyone to reach out to the folks that you have contact numbers to and inform them of the change to our meetings. I do not know how long this will last, but we need to follow our church and government leaders’ mandates.
In the meantime, if you need me for anything, I am always available to you via my phone, text or email.
I pray that God will protect you and keep each one of you.
In Christian love,
Randy D
