📅🎨🐧 The Goudie Ceramics Farallon Islands Collection is coming to San Francisco on July 18th & 19th!

Ceramic artist Goudie created a collection of pieces in support and celebration of Point Blue and our conservation work on the Farallon Islands. The centerpiece of this collection is the story of ‘Morris,’ the first Northern Gannet sighted in the Pacific, and on the Farallones, after melting Arctic ice led him completely off course. Goudie’s pieces serve as a reminder of the delicate connections between wildlife, climate, and conservation.

The exhibit will debut at the two-day San Francisco Summer Vibe Art Fair. Visit the exhibition, meet the artist, and discover how art and conservation can come together to inspire stewardship of our ocean and wildlife. Learn more: https://shorturl.at/snVbR

The Federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB) just proposed a new rule that would impact the federal funding of conservation science.

This proposal would alter how federal grants are awarded and managed. It would allow them to be terminated at any time with no protections for work already underway and give political appointees (rather than peer reviewers) control of award decisions.

If enacted, these rule changes would limit scientific freedom and destabilize federal science funding. If this news concerns you, consider submitting a public comment that supports the integrity of science by July 13th. Learn more: https://shorturl.at/NNh7b
