Our natural reaction when someone hurts us is to hurt them in return. To match their energy. To prove a point. But Christ's example shows us what to do, something that's harder yet far more powerful.
"Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing." — 1 Peter 3:9 ESV
Blessing those who hurt us isn't weak. It's one of the strongest, most Christ-like gesture we can do. And God meets us in it.

"Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives... Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered." — 1 Peter 3:1, 7 (ESV)
A wife's sincere and devout spirit. A husband's respectful and understanding heart. These aren't signs of weakness. They're acts of faith.
When both partners lean into what God asks of them, something beautiful happens. Not a perfect marriage. But a resilient one. A grace-filled one. One that reflects Christ.
Your marriage is worth fighting for, not against each other, but together.
