Our client in North Wales, PA had a goal of designing a refreshing space with a light, comfortable feel. The white cabinets combined with a stained soft grey island and the introduction of reclaimed barn beam shelves, not only added to the uniqueness of the space but gave it added warmth.

Exposed original stone walls set the tone for this well-appointed more modern style farmhouse. The natural textures combined with the soft grey stain finish and simplistic door style certainly say “Stay Awhile” when you are in the space. The spacious working island provides accessible cabinetry on both sides and plenty of countertop space for a few “young helpers” or a second cook.

The perimeter cabinet construction is frameless with flat panel doors in a soft grey stain highlighted by a charcoal glaze. The island is framed flush inset with raised panel doors in a lightly stained curly maple wood.
