I had the opportunity to speak with WEAR News 3 today about Florida’s new initiative to tackle over 21,000 unsolved homicide cases using advanced DNA technology and genetic genealogy.

This isn’t entirely new territory for me—I spent years working cases where evidence existed, but the technology just hadn’t caught up yet.

What’s different now is this:

👉 Investigators can identify individuals through family DNA
👉 Leads can be developed even without a direct database hit
👉 Cold cases that sat for decades are getting fresh attention

This kind of technology is changing the landscape—not just for law enforcement, but for families still waiting on answers.

While my role today as a private investigator is different, the mission hasn’t changed.

If you’re dealing with a missing person, trying to locate someone, or have a case that’s gone cold and needs a fresh set of eyes—there are still avenues to pursue.

Not every case gets solved overnight. But more cases are solvable today than ever before.
