We’re proud to highlight the Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) Diverse Business Development Program (DBDP) — a nearly year-long cohort designed to strengthen diverse suppliers’ expertise and connections for future contracting opportunities.
The second cohort, launched in October 2024, brought together businesses across general construction trades (HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and more), including B.A.M. Electrical Contracting.
Through expert-led sessions, mentorship, and hands-on learning, participants gained crucial skills in marketing, business development, bonding, and more — all while expanding networks and preparing for future success with PGW.
We’re honored to be part of this inspiring program and celebrate the progress, innovation, and collaboration it represents.

BAM Electrical Contracting, in partnership with Turner Construction and the Girl Scouts of Central & South Jersey, is hosting "Girls Rewire the Industry"—a FREE hands-on event for girls in 6th-12th grade to explore the electrical trade! ⚡🔧
📅 Date: May 3rd, 2025
⏰ Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
📍 Location: Camden High School 1700 Park Avenue, Camden, NJ 08103
🍽️ Lunch: Provided for all students
🔧 Activities: Hands-on stations featuring communications, pipe bending, wiring, and estimating—led by experienced women electricians!

Today is BAM's 6th anniversary!! I cant believe it was 6 years ago I got the courage to take on a 3 part / 300 question/10hr exam for my Electrical license. 😮💨exhausted just remembering it. But, with $1500 I embarked on a journey, a road less traveled, some thought I was delusional.
There's been wins, some losses, and many many growing pains. However, I'm grateful and proud of what I've accomplished thus far. I must say last year holds some of my greatest highlights. Hopefully, year 6 brings even more.
Lastly, I'm so appreciative of my family, friends and colleagues who have shown support throughout these years. It can honestly be a lonely feeling when you're going against the norm. So, the well wishes, advice, mentorships and support are instrumental in helping continue this journey. Year 6 here we go🎉🎉🍾

Last weekend filled my heart with so much joy ❤️ Thank you to everyone who participated in making Girls Rewire the Industry a success. Seeing an idea I dreamed of, manifest into this tangible event is surreal. Girl Scouts of Central & Southern NJ and Turner Construction your partnership and dedication is immeasurable, looking forward to seeing how far we can take this program. The all-female electrician training crew (IBEW) you rocked it! The sponsors, your contributions helped make this possible. The young ladies and troop leaders who came out engaged, learned and mostly importantly had fun. Mission accomplished!! More to come.. stay tuned!
