Today we celebrate the incredible freedoms we enjoy as Americans. These freedoms were purchased through the sacrifice of brave men and women who gave so much for our nation. But as precious as those freedoms are, there is an even greater freedom.

America can protect our rights, but only Jesus Christ can free us from the bo***ge of sin. America can offer liberty for this life, but Christ offers freedom that lasts for eternity.

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

This Fourth of July, we are thankful for the red, white, and blue. But we are even more thankful for the crimson blood of Christ that purchased our salvation.
Because while soldiers gave their lives so we could live free for a lifetime, Jesus gave His life so we could live free forever!
