Considering flying in the next few months? You are probably aware that masks are required and hand sanitizer is your friend. TSA has relaxed the 3.4oz restriction on limits for hand sanitizers to 12 oz, so load up! Airlines use HEPA filters (high efficiency particulate air) which refresh cabin air every 2-3 minutes, and disinfect high touch surfaces between every flight However, you can grab that sanitizer that you brought with you and wipe down the back seat video screens, and arm rests and tray tables. And remember to social distance while in the airport; waiting areas and people mover sidewalks or shuttles are sanitized more that usual, but maybe give yourself a little more time and walk to your gate. At TSA checkpoints you may be asked to lower your mask for identification purposes, but the rest of the time, keep your mask on. Use the restroom before you board, so you can avoid that cramped plane lavatory.

Also, remember that the airlines have new rules about taking your emotional support animal onboard with you. This new ruling states that airlines do not have to recognize emotional support animals ...animals that provide comfort and support as service animals. A service animal is trained to work or perform tasks for the benefit of someone with a disability; they are not pets. In addition, the airlines are also permitted to limit service animals to dogs. This ruling does not mean you cant take your small pet onboard in an approved pet carrier ..there is a charge for those pet passengers!

First of all, if you have tickets or arrangements that you made and canceled any time after March, and are wondering about reusing them or how long you have to reuse them, please contact me. The airlines ..and some of the other vendors..have changed their rules many times in the last few months. It may be that the rules or the extension you had originally has changed. Feel free to check with me so I can check it out for you.

My apologies for not being 'present' on social media the last few weeks. The entire travel industry has been experiencing an unprecedented surge in service requests due to covid 19. We have tried to be forward thinking about refunds, reaccommodations, and procedures. Airlines have flooded our email with waivers and policies. While we respect and recognize the difficulties that our airline partners and vendors are experiencing, we also have to be sure that we have the right information to best serve our local community and loyal clients. Sometimes getting that right information includes numerous repeat calls and long hold times!
Like many of you, I have been working from home and last month decided to move from my downtown location to my home for the time being. Please know that both Sharon and I continue to be available 24/7. We appreciate all the emails and calls!
If you have questions or concerns about travel plans or the new normal for travel please call me at 541 276 4821 or 541 215 0252 or email me [email protected]
