Dr. Mathews will be leaving us on September 30th. We wish her the very best in her future pursuits in veterinary health services.

We are beginning the process of finding a veterinarian to join us, but do expect this will take time.

As we look ahead to October there will be some very noticeable changes to our operations and operational schedule.

Starting the week of September 29th the small animal clinic will be closed on Fridays. For small animal appointments please call us at 541-276-4270.

Large animal services through, Performance Equine and Livestock, will be available Monday through Thursday. Select, Friday appointments will be available based on my personal schedule. For large animal appointments please call or text us at 541-379-0953.

Emergency service schedules will be unchanged.

I am making these changes to maintain a healthy personal and professional balance, for myself and my staff, while providing high quality care for your animals. When we are able to hire another veterinarian, we will resume a Monday through Friday schedule.

I appreciate your understanding as we return to a single doctor practice.

The weekend has brought some expected changes. I am sorry that we have had to cancel all scheduled elective procedures and routine dental cleanings. I will also apologize for the discomfort to come as we review all currently scheduled appointments to determine if you can come in.

Due to the newest executive order 20-12, we will be limiting appointments to urgent care, emergency and animals in new series vaccines. Patients that are due for rabies vaccination will be admitted as well.

I will review all others and make the final determination. If in doubt staff has been instructed to utilize an in house "client to do" list. I will review it daily. The basic question that will be addressed is, "Can it wait for 3 months?"

I ask for you all to be patient as we progress through the challenges ahead. Please know that your health and the health of your pets and livestock is our number one priority.
