I’ve been sitting on this for a week because I didn’t want to believe it was true.

This past weekend, our family lost our loyal and gentle Livestock Guardian Dog, Zeus.

Zeus was such a good boy. He was incredibly sweet with people, loved his belly rubs, and was happiest spending time with us. But when it came to protecting our farm animals, he had a deep, commanding bark and took his job seriously. He was fearless when it mattered most and gentle when it didn’t.

Our hearts are broken, and he will be missed more than words can express. His best buddy, Hank, is mourning him too, and seeing that has made this loss even harder.

To some, pets are just pets. To us, we lost a beloved member of our family. The silence he has left behind is overwhelming, and the hurt runs deep.

Run free, sweet Zeus. Thank you for your unwavering loyalty, your protection, and your unconditional love. You will always be part of our family and will never be forgotten. ❤️🐾
