As technology advances, so does the sophistication of attacks. Watch out for the latest email flooding.
How it works:
Your mailbox very suddenly starts to fill up with confirmation of subscriptions, various mailing lists and the like. Most of the companies mentioned in the email are legitimate but the links to unsubscribe ARE NOT. Unfortunately, once the attacker has your email address, the only thing you can do is report and delete all foreign emails until it stops.
The hope of the attacker is, you will get frustrated and try to start unsubscribing by clicking links in the emails. Protect your information and if you feel that you have clicked on a bad link, always run full virus scans and or consult a repair professional.
