Since I facilitate dating events, you’d think I’d love Valentine’s Day… but here’s my secret: I don’t.

Well, it’s complicated. Different parts of me hold different feelings. Some are excited, some are skeptical, and some are still healing.

💃 My Inner Maiden is enchanted by the idea of being swept away—roses, candlelight, and grand romantic gestures. She longs for the kind of love that feels like magic.

😒 My Inner Skeptic, shaped by past heartbreaks, rolls her eyes at that dream. She’s protective, wary, and quick to remind me that fairytales don’t always end happily.

🌹✨️ Then there’s my Empowered Self, the part of me that holds them both. She knows I can desire love and be whole on my own. She reminds me that no matter what this day brings, I am enough.

This year feels like a test—hosting Valentine’s events for singles while my own heart is still tender. But maybe that’s the real lesson: love isn’t just about romance. It’s about embracing every part of ourselves with compassion.
