Existing-Home Sales Retreated 1.9% in April

In April, existing-home sales fell by 1.9%, reaching an annual rate of 4.14 million. The median price increased by 5.7% to $407,600, marking ten consecutive months of annual increases. Housing inventory rose 9% from March. Sales in the South declined by 1.6%, with a median price of $366,200.
