THE USA JUNIORS CUP IS A REALITY
The USA JUNIORS CUP provides Junior cyclists with the most effective national structure to enjoy and develop in the sport of cycling. The structure consists of a competitive format, reliable calendar, exceptional support, and meaningful recognition.
The series will start in 2023, catering to Juniors ages 15-18 for the first year, offer 6 multi-day events from February to June leading up to national championships and summer international travel, provide financial support to teams and individuals, and reward behavior and achievements.
The USA Juniors CUP will be officially announced on Saturday, June 25th at the iconic Café Hollander Otto Wenz Downer Classic during the Kwik Trip Tour of America’s Dairyland’s 5th and final day of the Pro Cyclist Foundation Juniors Series. All Juniors, Coaches and Parents are welcome to celebrate this announcement and learn how to get involved at BelAir Cantina Downer starting at 5:30pm. Plenty of tacos and beverages will be provided along with some other surprises, so we hope you’ll join us for this exciting launch party!
“This series is the result of feedback and guidance from many Juniors, Parents, and Coaches across the country who simply want consistency and purpose. We are fortunate to have the support of great organizations and individuals who care for the future of our sport”, said Pablo Santa Cruz, founding member.
“We are honored and excited to seed fund this series. Junior development in our country needs a reliable and fun structure to give every Junior the best opportunity to enjoy and thrive in cycling”, said Billy Jones, Pro Cyclist Foundation.
“With the excitement and support from teams and events, there is no doubt this series will be a hit for everyone involved”, said Tom Schuler, organizing board.
