Something old, something new something borrowed something blue!! Happy anniversary to my beautiful wife. I figured everyone would get a kick out of that. It's not everyday you have a 1932 and a 2018 sharing the shop at the same time.

I WON!!! Burton Automotive is the lucky winner of the Snap-on double play sweepstakes. I was surprised by Bill Solsby and his wife with a Traxxas 8s Snap-on edition R/C tool truck. Thanks for the dramatic unveiling. It made my day. I love it.

"The BMW blues"
Today we had a 2009 328i with a leaking valve cover gasket. Upon removing the valve cover we found a crack and a broken ear on the rear of the cover. Someone had tried to repair it with silicone unsuccessfully. We had to replace the valve cover and used a genuine BMW part. Unfortunately the repair was pricey but at least it is done the way it should be. I always prefer OEM parts when I do repairs to eliminate the possibility of problems in the near future. I would like to say thank you to all my customers for being understanding in situations like this. There's nothing harder than calling someone with bad news but sometimes it's part of my job. I am blessed to have some really good customers we do work for.

I guess I'm into antique oil and gas items and signs now. The older I get the more I like things that are older than me.
