FireLily, the Roverchase Facility Dog at Magic City Acceptance Academy, was working very hard during their amazing production of Godspell. FireLily takes her job of meeting students where they are very seriously 😉

Roverchase Facility Dogs are changing lives in a wide variety of schools, medical facilities, and therapeutic environments. We cannot wait to make a special announcement in the next few weeks about our growing Facility Dog Program 💕💕

Elphie 2013-2025

In September 2013, our very first client in our computer system was a little Giant Schnauzer puppy named Elphie. Elphie spent the next 12 years with us at almost all major holidays and many days a month in daycare. She did her training, daycare, boarding, grooming, and even met her little sister here at Roverchase.

Elphie was one of the dogs you never forget. She was smart, cunning, had a great sense of humor, had an uncanny ability to read when you needed snuggles and quiet, and was everything she was meant to be. She had many friends both human and canine. She was an amazing companion to her family and the kind of client dog that feels like one of your own dogs.

It is a humbling gift that our clients give us, to let us spend our lives with their dogs. It is a particularly special gift when we get to spend the entirety of their lives watching them love and be loved by their amazing families. I've spent more holidays with Elphie than I have with most humans. She was there, happy to see me at Roverchase, at so many moments -- many filled with laughter and smiles and some filled with snuggles and tears. She lived her life with a family that was truly perfect for her and it was a joy to watch them through many life stages together. I'm very happy we will still get to see her "little sister." She has the kind of family that you hope you would get to be their dog.

Thank you to her family for trusting her with me throughout her life. I loved her very much and the Roverchase staff loved her very much. She had the best life. Here are some photos of Elphie through the years... it was very hard to pick just a few!
