As we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary, the Village of Pelham Fire Department proudly honors the history that began right here in our community.

On October 18, 1776, the Battle of Pelham saw Colonel John Glover and his Continental soldiers delay the advancing British Army, buying precious time for General George Washington and the Continental Army to continue the fight for independence. It remains one of the defining moments of the American Revolution.

Since 1893, the members of the Village of Pelham Fire Department have proudly served this same community with dedication, professionalism, and honor. As we celebrate America 250, we remember the courage of those who fought for our nation’s freedom and reaffirm our commitment to protecting the community they helped preserve.
