💚 Meet the Team Monday - Meet Kristen 💚

This week we're excited to introduce Kristen W., one of our amazing Child Watch team members!
Kristen has been part of the YMCA family for the past nine months and loves getting to know the children and families who visit the Y each day.

What inspires Kristen most in her role is the opportunity to work with children and watch them learn, grow, and develop new skills and confidence.
A fun fact about Kristen? She has 10 siblings! 😊

When asked what the YMCA mission means to her, Kristen shared:
"It means growing as a community and making sure everyone feels like part of the Y family while instilling good values."

Serving our mission beyond our branch walls. 💚

Today marked the end of the first week of our Summer Lunch Program at the Green Park South community.

Thanks to the generosity of our Annual Campaign donors, individuals who donated non-perishable food items, our community partners, and our incredible volunteers, we were able to serve more than 120 lunches during our first week.

A special thank you to Pelham Chick-fil-A, Maya Mexican Restaurant, and Pelham Domino’s for helping provide meals, and to our volunteers for spending time engaging with the children and families we serve.

Through our partnership with Backpack Buddies, we have also been able to send children home with food for the weekend, helping ensure they have access to meals beyond the school year.

Thank you for helping us strengthen community and make a difference in the lives of local families. 💚
