Time to meet Sean Southern!
Sean is our GIS Project Manager. He has been with KCS for 12 years in August! Below Sean has answered some questions so that we could get to know him better:
Who on the team would you like to switch place with for the day?
- It would be Kaitlyn, for me. She is the newest member to the KCS GIS team and is experiencing GIS from a fresh, new perspective.
What is the coolest part of your job?
- I get to test out the newest & latest software from our partner, Esri. Over the last 25 years of development, it has revolutionized the industry with its capabilities and the cool factor is off the charts (being that you’re into techy stuff).
What do you love most about what you do?
- Assisting clients with understanding and using GIS technology of various levels to accomplish their day-to-day work needs. Knowledge transfer, as we call it here at KCS, is very gratifying!
We are so thankful for what Sean brings to our team! Stay tuned to see who we are going to introduce next!

It’s time to meet another member of our team!
Jack Populorum is the Lead Developer for RouteMan and also works on Developing on GIS Projects as well. He has been with with KCS for 20+ years! Below are some questions you can look through to get to know Jack better:
Describe your job in 3 words.
-Make It Go
What did you want to grow up to be when you were a kid?
-In 4th grade we were asked that, and my 2 picks were computer programmer and pilot.
What do you love most about what you do?
-When I can create something that eases people’s burdens.
Jack is super awesome and we are so thankful that he is on our team!

The next member of our team we want to introduce is Suzanne Watson!
Suzanne is our Receptionist and mans the Customer Service Support Desk. She is the first tier of support at KCS! Suzanne has been with KCS for 4 and 1/2 years now! Below she has answered a few questions so we can get to know her better:

-Jack; it would be fun to learn how to code.
What did you want to be when you were a kid?
-Veterinarian; I am an animal lover for sure!

-Wayyyy too much creamer, but hey, it’s sugar free!
What do you love about what you do?
-Data entry

What is the coolest part of your job?
-Getting to have so much input on projects we create. It is a very collaborative environment.

-Astrophysics for People in a Hurry by Neil DeGrasse Tyson
What is in your coffee?
-I have never tasted coffee

-I double majored in Computer Science and Criminal Justice.
