NYC freezes rent for 1 million rent-stabilized apartments. 🏙️
The New York City Rent Guidelines Board voted 7–1 to freeze rents on approximately 1 million rent-stabilized apartments for both one-year and two-year leases.
Supporters say the move will help tenants manage the rising cost of living. Critics argue it could make it more difficult for landlords to cover increasing maintenance and operating costs.
