The countdown is on—5 days until Peekskill Open Studios, and I keep coming back to one thought: a door left open changes everything.

For one weekend, this whole city opens up. The Arts Alliance’s annual Open Studios is an invitation into the spaces where art is actually made—studios, galleries, and pop-ups across downtown Peekskill, all free to wander. What lives quietly in a studio becomes something else entirely when it’s shared: seen, questioned, lingered over, held for a moment by someone else. Access is its own kind of art.

This year you’ll find me and my fellow artist, Doris Renza, at our space—Third Eye Arts Studio & Gallery. Come step through the door and let it be a portal: into new worlds, new ideas, and all the powerful dimensions art can transport you to.
