*** How We Approach Practice ***

Mike Trout still starts his workouts hitting off a tee. Here's a guy who will go down as one of the best to ever play the game. He gets paid millions and millions of dollars. Yet he still starts with the basics every single time.

Why?

Because there are two ways to approach practice.

You can practice until you get it right.

Or you can practice until you can't get it wrong.

Mike Trout does the second. So did Kobe. Nolan. MJ. Harper.

When you look into most truly great players, you'll find that they seem to go back to the basics constantly, getting rep after rep after rep on "entry level" skills.

Why? Because they know that the goal isn't to perform well one time in a controlled environment. The goal is to practice until they can't get it wrong, even in the midst of competition and adrenaline.
