Making Sense of Scent Sensitivities / Allergies – Yes, they are real!
Scent sensitivities are typically a non-allergic reaction where smells trigger symptoms even though the immune system is not causing a classic allergy response, however, there can be serious reactions.
Scent Sensitivities:
Common triggers:
• Perfume/cologne - deodorants, lotions, body sprays, etc
• Scented candles
• Air fresheners
• Laundry products (detergents, softeners, etc.)
• Cleaning products
• Essential oils
Typical symptoms:
• Headaches or migraines
• Dizziness
• Nausea
• Brain fog
• Asthma flare-ups
• Eye/nose irritation
• Fatigue
People with asthma, migraines, or conditions like multiple chemical sensitivity often report stronger reactions.
Fragrance Allergies
This is a true immune-system reaction, usually a form of allergic contact dermatitis.
Remember that you can be highly sensitive to scents without having an allergy and you can have a fragrance allergy even if strong smells don’t bother you much.
You can help by not using scented products when going to physician offices, church or other public gatherings. Please do not be offended if a person asks you to keep your distance because of your scented products.

Bless the pointy little heads of the FDA. In their infinite wisdom they are banning a whole class of thyroid medications including - Armour Thyroid, NP Thyroid, Nature Throid, etc. Their excuse is that they are unapproved medications and now classified as biologics so they cannot be compounded either. This form of thyroid medication predates the FDA and its use was started in the 1930's. The problem is that the synthetics (Levothyroxine - Synthroid, Liothyronine) do not work for many patients, many do not tolerate the synthetic hormones. The pork thyroid has a very good success record with a low side-effect profile when managed by a physician.
Please, Please, Please protect your access to the medications that work. Share this post everywhere. Follow this link for the FDA article.
